Old Testament Quiz

An Old Testament quiz in eighteen questions, running from Genesis to the kings in one sweep. Each answer is marked the moment you choose it.

What the eighteen questions cover

This is the survey page for the older testament: 18 questions in a single sweep from Genesis to the kings. Instead of settling into one book, the set moves along the narrative span in order, so the whole arc passes by in one sitting. Readers who would rather stay inside a single book will find separate pages for that elsewhere on the site; this page is for the long view, and it is the larger of the two testament surveys.

Where the answers come from

Every answer key on this site was filled in twice. Two readers worked independently against the same fixed questions, each answering from the text, and the two completed sets were then compared value by value — eighty-three comparisons across the site, all eighty-three in agreement — before anything was published. Where parallel accounts tell a story differently, a question names the book it is reading from, or the point is simply not asked. The questions concern what the text says, according to the book named, and nothing further.

How the quiz runs

The quiz plays in this page, not on a worksheet. Each question offers four options; picking one shows at once whether it was right, and the correct answer appears before you move on. When the last question is done, a review lays out the full set with your answer beside the right one, so a near miss can be looked at properly. Your best score stays saved in your browser between visits. There is no signup and nothing to download.
