Bible Quiz

This Bible trivia quiz draws twenty questions from across the books — a sampler of figures and accounts rather than a deep study of any one of them. Play it here in the page and review every answer at the end.

What this sampler covers

Twenty questions, drawn from across the books rather than concentrated in one of them. Figures you would expect turn up alongside accounts that get less attention, and the mix runs through both testaments. Think of it as a walk along the whole shelf: no single book carries the quiz, and no question depends on having answered the one before it.

Two kinds of question are deliberately missing here, as they are everywhere on Chapter & Verse. There are no fill-in-the-verse questions, because reproducing translation text at scale is quotation by the pound. And there are no geography questions yet, because those deserve maps and will wait until they have them.

How the answers were checked

Every answer on this site was filled in twice, by two readers working independently against the same fixed questions, and then compared value by value. Eighty-three of eighty-three agreed. Where the biblical accounts themselves differ, or where canons diverge, a question either names the book it is asking from — “according to Genesis” — or steps around the point entirely. The quiz takes no doctrinal positions; it asks what the text says, not what it means.

Playing the quiz

Everything runs in this page. Each question offers four options; pick one and you see at once whether it was right, with the correct answer shown either way. At the end comes a full review of all twenty, question by question. Your best score is saved in your browser, and nothing else is: no signup, no account, no email.
